George Tallis is an endocrinologist and clinical biochemist who consults at Flinders Medical Centre and in private at Endocrine SA. He has promoted the use of CrossLaps as the biochemical marker of choice to assess bone turnover and this is now included on the Osteoscan request form. In the reporting of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) the advice given makes use of the CrossLaps result. George is available for telephone consultations relating to Osteoscan referals.

Dr Wilton Braund

Wilton Braund is an endocrinologist and general physician who consults at Endocrine SA and Flinders Medical Centre. He has a strong interest in teaching at both the medical student and resident/registrar level. He is responsible for reporting of BMD and vertebral fracture assessment, and for providing relevant and sensible clinical advice. He is also available for telephone consultations relating to Osteoscan referals.

Dr Simon Vanlint

MBBS, PhD, Dip. RACOG, FRACGP

Dr Vanlint has been working with Osteoscan since early 2004. His clinical and research interests include vitamin D, particularly with reference to bone health and the metabolic syndrome. He holds the ANZBMS Certificate of Completion in Clinical Bone Densitometry and has presented his research findings at local and international meetings. Dr Vanlint has completed the International Osteoporosis Foundation’s Advanced Workshop at Lyon. He is a member of the RACGP and the US Endocrine Society.
